Give an assistant the docs
To have an assistant write code against the API, rather than read your account, give it these docs. Everything on this site is published as plain Markdown as well, for exactly this.
/llms.txt— every page of this site, with one line on what it is for. A good first thing to hand an assistant: it reads the index and fetches the pages it needs./llms-full.txt— every page, the API reference included, in one file. For tools that read a whole site at once.- Any page as Markdown — add
.mdto its address, for example/getting-started.md, or use Copy page at the top of the page. - Open in Claude or ChatGPT — the menu beside Copy page starts a new chat that asks about the page you are on, by its Markdown address.
/openapi.json— the API description, for tools that generate clients or check requests. Also versioned in infranest-openapi.
The Markdown twins of the reference pages show each call once, as curl, so a whole module fits in an assistant's context. The web pages show the same call in six languages.
Tips
- One relevant page beats the whole site. An assistant answers better from the reference page of the module it is working on than from
llms-full.txt. - Tell it which environment. The docs use
https://api.infranest.io; a sandbox uses the same address with a test token. - Have it read the errors. Errors lists every
codewith what to do about it, so generated code can branch on them. - For a coding agent working in a repository, add the
AGENTS.mdsnippet.
